@ Jack - It looks like you’re trying to embed a video inside of the post, so you’ll need to go download a WordPress video plugin. There a number of them out there, just search Google. It should fix your problem once you activate and configure the plugin.

Solved - The problem was from using the embed codes only.
Thanks again.

I tried installing your inewspaper theme but it didn’t seem to work. In fact when choosing from different themes in the admin panel it looked as though the graphic was missing.
When activated the theme looks like a long string of text.

@ Corey - what version of WordPress are you using? The theme has been extensively tested so we can assure you that everything works “out of the box”.
Give us as many details you can and we’ll try to help!

Hello there!
First off, great template! I’m using it now but have run in to a weird issue.
Seems like the blog keeps going back to a default template. iNewspaper can work for a while but then when I go back and look at the site, it’s changed back to a default Wordpress theme.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
Thanks for your time!

Great theme. I would like to see a version 2 though. I’d like to move recent comments / recent posts around as widgets. I’d also like an option to set max width. I think this is a little too wide.

hi….i love, love, LOVE the design!!!! i intend to use it for my personal blog. i’d like to change the header…..remove the blog name and add a header graphic (which is only the blog name in a different graphic). i’ve monked around with the code, but can’t seem to get it right. can you tell me how i can remove the blog title and replace it with an image? many thanks for your hard work.

I was testing your theme and can’t get adsense to work. I put the correct number of my account in on the first line, but no ads appear; just blank. Does the script need to be altered or replaced?

Hi,
I am using this theme for a fledgling sports reporting site and it is working great so far but I do not see the register button for guests to register so they can leave comments.
Can you vector me to that function so i can activate.
I have the meta data widget on and the admin function is there but not registration.
Thanks,
PH

Hi,
I REALLY am impressed with the clean lines of your inewspaper theme.
I would like to alter the header so that an image I created is used, rather than the blog info text. Could you possible give me a pointer here?
I see you’ve commented out something with an image in the header; how would I alter it?

Hi and thanks for the fantastic theme. Very Love-Able. Just some quick questions:
I too, would like to make the header as a optional graphic. This would just give the blog a nice lift. The header graphic could fit behind the title and date (important to keep them).
Also when it comes to images, it looks as if I could go really wide, almost a panoramic shot. Is this possible? What pixel width maximum are we allowed? This would work well, a nice newspaper style look.
Anyway will test it out… Thanks again.

I’m a little slow this morning … love this iNewspaper theme, but I’m trying to figure out how to edit the widgets along the right column, particularly the RSS feed and killing of the “Social Network” bar.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

@ Mark - Edit the “rightcolumn.php” file located within the iNewspaper folder.
Glad you like iNewspaper!

There’s a reason I don’t do this for a living … a million thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for such a fantastic theme. I’ve been testing it with the latest version of Wordpress 2.6.
So far, I’ve only found two problems:
1) My current permalink structure goes like this: 2007/10/what_am_i_up_to_lately.html, and it works well except for the Recent Entries section, where posts point to http://www.mydomain/blog/?p=470 (and, therefore, return a “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” message)
2) I’ve noticed that some letters (particularly “s” and “w”) appear slightly “truncated” at the end of a line and/or when bolded or italiced. In fact, you can see the effect if you test the theme on your own site. See the final “s” at the bottom (Older Entries).
If someone could help me out I would be most grateful.
Again, thank you for making available such a great WordPress theme.

@ rubenbsr - We’re glad that you like the theme!
1) That sounds like it might be an .htaccess problem. We have a number of sites using a custom permalink structure and the URL successfully rewrites based on the post number. If your .htaccess file is not writable, make sure that you’ve copied and pasted the supplied code on the Options -> Permalinks Page into your .htaccess file. Save, upload, and try again.
2) What browser is making your letters appear slightly “truncated”? We’re not seeing this problem in Safari or FireFox.

I would like to get AdSense enabled on the sidebar of my blog but am unable to do so. I am running WP 2.6.1 using Adsense Manager. Any help is appreciated.
Plus, are there any plans to update this theme?
August 15th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
@ Greg - Sorry, we can’t provide that kind of support since you’re talking about a third party plugin.
Yes, we have a few things that we’re going to change in the next revision. Anything you’d like to see changed or added?

I’d like to ask about how to add an image to the header too. I’ve seen there are several questions about that… but no answers (are there?) I’ve also seen that there’s a function.php instruction (I suppose mine doesn’t work as I cannot see any “Add Image” or other option like that in the theme editor) and a mysterious kubrickheader.jpg file in /images folder…
September 26th, 2008 at 10:30 pm
@ Individu - If you’d like to add an image to the header, simply edit the header.php file. In between the “header” div, add your image code. You’ll need to modify the CSS file so that it fits as you’d like it to.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply, and one thing I forgot to say before: iNewspaper is a really cool, simple and sober theme, thanks for creating it and giving it to the world!
